The first "Click for Growth" Conference was co-organised by eBay, PayPal and Deutsche Post DHL and was held in Brussels on 9 June 2010.

Many thanks to those of you who joined us at the event!

The overarching goal of the event was to illustrate the contribution of the e-commerce supply chain to the EU economy and the importance of a well-defined policy environment and an integrated policy approach when it comes to the completion of the Internal Market.

On June 7, PayPal was pleased to host a delegation from Singapore that included the Minister of Finance Tharman Shanmugaratnam. The Minister led a delegation from the Singapore Economic Development Board and met with PayPal President Scott Thompson, PayPal VP and General Counsel John Muller and Head of Global Government Relations Michelle Peacock.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between eBay Vice President Jeff Liao and IPIM Executive Director Echo Chan to promote local SMEs business.

As eBay’s worldwide presence grows, it continues to build new relationships across the globe. In May, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) and eBay signed a memorandum of understanding to promote e-commerce among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Macau.

eBay Government Relations was the proud sponsor of Campbell Middle School’s first ever Career Day. Campbell Middle School hosted its first ever Career Day on Thursday, May 27, 2010 for eighth grade students.  The day ran from 8:45 am to 1:00 pm.  The students had an opportunity to select four separate breakout sessions with speakers representing a wide range of careers. Over thirty different speakers participated and lead individual sessions.
