NetChoice Calls So-Called Mainstreet Fairness Bill Unfair for Small Businesses

On April 25th, the Senate Finance Committee convened a hearing on state taxation issues, including Internet sales taxes.  NetChoice submitted testimony to the Committee arguing that the so-called Mainstreet Fairness Act would actually be unfair for small businesses trying to make a living online.  The testimony highlighted that e-Commerce is the best hope for Main Street to compete with Big-Box Stores so why would Congress consider legislation that would hinder Main Street and small businesses from being competitive.
