Last week in Madrid, eBay Spain General Manager Susana Voces, along with ICEX Director for Institutional Cooperation Alicia Montalvo, introduced a new guide targeted at Spanish SMBs who want to launch into the online selling world. ICEX (Instituto del Comercio Exterior) is the public agency in charge of promoting Spain, its companies and its products to foreign markets. eBay GR worked with ICEX to review and approve the guide, in particular its “International Sales” chapter.

Other topics explored in the guide include keys to online commerce, use of marketplaces, means of payment, logistics, and many others. The guide concludes with three of our most meaningful Spanish seller stories, featuring Agroverd, California Motorcycles, and Esdemarca. Esteban Blazquez, CEO of Esdemarca, honored us with his vibrant testimony upon the guide’s release to national media. His company, specializing in branded fashion and accessories, now manages up to 3000 orders a day, and has seen a 70% increase in its international sales in just one year. This enabled him to grow from 15 to 24 employees.
