eBay Inc. Opens Dialogue with Small Businesses in Brazil

November 5, 2012

Recently eBay Inc.'s Government Relations Emerging Markets team and PayPal's Latin America (LATAM) team hosted a Brazilian delegation of over 30 software, hardware and IT small business owners and members of the Small Business Support Service of Paraná State (SEBRAE). During the eBay Inc. overview presentation, PayPal's LATAM Marketing Development Director Fernando Moreno emphasized eBay Inc.'s assets commenting that "X.commerce developers are eBay Inc. assets that provide open-source commerce solutions to equip small businesses with the tools needed to help them succeed online – from PayPal payments to inventory management." eBay Inc.'s Government Relations Emerging Markets & New Ventures Executive Director Michelle Peacock (pictured above, during her presentation) highlighted eBay Inc.'s portfolio of commerce brands and the innovative tools available to help small businesses compete online and offline.

The delegation also participated in a series of informative tours including a Coinstar demonstration that illustrated convenient and instant customer access to PayPal funds from a local grocery store, a Site Engineering Center tour providing insights into the analytic platforms supporting the eBay Marketplaces website, and a PayPal Shopping Showcase tour displaying the latest in emerging payment innovations for small and large retailers. eBay Inc. is proud to open this dialogue with Brazilian small businesses and believes it can deliver significant value to the Brazilian consumer and small business community, much as it does in many other parts of the world.
