I give to the PAC to help keep eBay competitive. PAC funds are used to promote public policy that help the company and our customers. But many of our competitors have much larger and more aggressive PACs, and often use their PAC dollars in an attempt to put us at a competitive disadvantage through bad legislation. Internet sales tax is a great example. While we are fighting to keep small internet-enabled businesses free from harmful tax legislation, several very large Fortune 500 companies are spending millions - including PAC funds - to do the exact opposite. This is why it's critical that we have a strong PAC and I urge all PAC-eligible employees to participate.
