This week the eBay Government Relations team will be hosting its 12th annual “US of eBay Advocacy Day” on Capitol Hill. More than 20 eBay sellers from across the country will be joining us in Washington, DC to advocate for all small, internet-enable US business.

eBay’s Marie Huber, Jay Hanson and Mike Dabbs with Representatives Neal and Crowley
This week eBay welcomed Congressman Richie Neal (D-MA 1) and Congressman Joe Crowley (D-NY 14) to our San Jose Campus. Both of the Representatives serve on the House Ways & Means Committee, which has jurisdiction over all tax and trade issues. Congressman Neal is the highest ranking Democrat on the committee and Congressman Crowley also serves as the Chair of the Democratic Caucus, a high ranking leadership position.
When Americans think of tech hubs, they often think of Silicon Valley or Austin, Texas. Increasingly, tech companies are locating in the “Silicon Slopes” of Utah, where eBay boasts a sizeable footprint, including our LEED-certified customer support center and a world-renowned data center. Utah Governor Gary Herbert wants to see more eBay-like development across the state, so he convened some of Utah’s most respected businesses – including eBay – at the Governor’s 11th Annual Economic Summit.
