As part of an SME action day, Mr. Vlad-Marius Botoş MEP, eBay and Ecommerce Europe have invited 15 small online sellers from various European Member States, including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Poland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark, to Brussels to exchange views with Members of the European Parliament on challenges and opportunities for small businesses to trade online.
All of the attending SMEs are engaged in exports (both intra and extra EU) and are highly interested in policy initiatives that can further enable cross-border trade. The aim of the roundtable is to facilitate a discussion on how the upcoming legislative initiatives for ‘A Europe fit for the Digital Age’ can help small business that trade online.
Following introductory remarks by MEP Vlad-Marius Botoş and eBay's Interim CEO Scott Schenkel, as well as a short overview of the attending SMEs and their business challenges, the floor will be opened for an informal and interactive discussion.
A light lunch will be served before the discussion.
