'The Asia Internet Coalition launches in Hong Kong'

AIC Founding MemberseBay Inc.’s Government Relations team in Asia is excited to announce the launch of the Asia Internet Coalition (AIC).  The AIC is an industry lobbying group eBay has founded with Google, Nokia, Skype and Yahoo. Through information sharing, it aims to provide an industry communications platform for government agencies and thereby help to facilitate the development of the internet economy in Asia Pacific.

The AIC is led by Dr. John Ure, Director of the Telecommunications Research Project (TRP) at Hong Kong University.

Steven Liew, Senior Director of Government Relations for APAC, attended the launch in eBay’s Hong Kong office as a Board member representing eBay and had the chance to network with Hong Kong’s OGCIO Stephen Mak.
