The seminar was well-attended by local and international digital and media policy leaders, government and industries representatives, academia, senior representatives  of the Media Development Authority, and board members of the newly established Singapore Media Literacy Council.

The two keys themes raised in Steven’s addressed included the importance of keeping the Internet free and open, as well as the importance of engaging the entire online community to develop and promote responsible online behaviour.

Steven said “As responsible stakeholders, we can all work together to encourage acceptable online behaviour. It will take the entire community of Internet users, service providers, governments and NGOs to establish this new set of social norms.”
