Rep. Lee Terry Visits PayPal Omaha

On Monday, June 21, 2010 Representative Lee Terry (R-2-NE) visited the PayPal office in LaVista, Nebraska. During his visit, Terry spent time talking with the PayPal global operations executive staff, listening to customer calls with a member of the customer support team and speaking to a large group of employees in a town hall style forum. At the forum, Rep. Terry took audience questions on topics ranging from the Internet sales tax to balancing the federal budget. The visit was a great opportunity to highlight PayPal\'s world class customer service operations as well as allow the PayPal team to interact with their member of Congress.

About the PayPal Omaha Office

PayPal Omaha opened in 2000 and moved to to one of the buildings on its campus in LaVista in 2002.Today, the facility hosts more than 3000 employees who perform business critical functions including customer service through phone, email and community channels. The employees in Omaha enjoy two cafes, two game and fitness rooms, a basketball court, a sand volleyball court and walking paths surrounding the lake on campus. PayPal was voted best employer in Omaha for 2009 and 2010 by Omaha Magazine.

Actively involved in the local community, PayPal is a member of the local Chamber of Commerce andhas sponsored the City of La Vista 50th Anniversary Celebration, the 2010 Heart Walk, Jazz on the Green, Race for the Cure and the Omaha Triathlon among other community events.
