PayPal Receives Innovation Project Nomination

February 28, 2013

On February 21, PayPal was officially nominated as one of the “Most Innovative Companies” for the 2013 Innovation Project awards.  The Innovation Project began as a way to acknowledge the tireless work of the various companies that are making the payments industry better for consumers and more innovative on annual basis.  By amassing some of the greatest minds in the payments world they attempt to “change the way that the payments and its broader commerce ecosystem thinks, talks, delivers and ignites innovation”.  The organization recognizes startups, merchants, traditional financial services companies and high tech payments processors who have brought their novel ideas to market.

Last year PayPal won the award for the “Most Disruptive Company” of 2012.  With our partnership with Discover, merchants like Home Depot and some of the new service with our digital wallet that will empower consumers and small merchants alike, we are hoping to be able to build on last year’s success.  For more information or to cast a vote please vist the Innovation Project website.
