Nebraska Senators, Candidate Tour PayPal Facility

October 30, 2012

Devin Whitney (Manager, State Government Relations, eBay Inc.), Senator Heath Mello, Senate candidate John Murante, Senator Beau McCoy, Brian Waldron (Lead Manager, Business Performance, PayPal), Linda Dugan (VP, Global Operations NA, PayPal) and Richard Nash (Director of Global Government Relations, eBay Inc.)

On October 26th eBay Inc. hosted a legislative tour of its La Vista, Nebraska PayPal facility.  Attending the tour were Nebraska State Senators Beau McCoy and Heath Mello and Nebraska State Senate candidate John Murante.  The tour was conducted by Linda Dugan, VP of North American Global Operations, and provided an overview of the operations and investment that the company has made in the state.  In particular, she highlighted how PayPal is regularly ranked as a top employer in Nebraska and has invested heavily in its employees and their wellbeing.

With high churn because of legislative term limits, regular outreach is necessary to ensure that legislators and candidates have an accurate understanding of our issues and our company.  The tour provided us with a great opportunity to improve upon our relationship with two Senators and a candidate that have shown an interest in issues impacting PayPal and eBay Inc. customers, and discuss some of the company’s top priorities going into the 2013 legislative session.
