Former Governor of Virginia Opposes Internet Sales Tax Bill

This week, former Governor of Virginia, Jim Gilmore, expressed his opposition to the so-called Marketplace Fairness Act that is currently being debated in Congress.  While speaking on the Stuart Varney show, Governor Gilmore raised the concerns that he has with the Internet sales tax legislation, including the impact that this will have on small businesses all across the country that are trying to compete with big box retailers and the American consumers that enjoy the variety and choice of the online marketplace.
