eBay Supports Internet Users and Small Businesses in FCC Regulatory Process

June 23, 2010

The Federal Communications Commission took a further step this June in the regulatory process that may result in new Federal Net Neutrality rules being enacted in 2010-11.  eBay understands the legislative and regulatory process can take time, as each side weighs in on the issue.  We believe there is broad support, especially among Internet users, small businesses and entrepreneurs, that the Internet should remain an open platform for innovation, commerce and communication.  We are confident that the FCC will develop a balanced, common-sense proposal in the coming months.

As the process continues, eBay Main Street will keep our members informed on the latest news that may affect our buyer and seller communities.  To learn more about the issues now, we recommend visiting the Open Internet Coalition website.
