Earlier this month, eBay’s India Country Manager, Vidmay Naini, and Head of Legal and Company Secretary, Ashish Gupta, met with India’s Director General of Foreign Trade, Mr. Amit Yadav, and Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Mr. Vijay Kumar. Vidmay and Ashish opened with an introduction of the eBay marketplace and highlighted our purpose of empowering people and creating economy for all.  They explained how eBay in India is creating an ecosystem for retail exports and connecting Indian sellers to millions of consumers around the world. Vidmay and Ashish also detailed the key cross-border trade challenges faced by Indian exports.  The remainder of the meeting was dedicated to discussing eBay’s recommendations for the upcoming Foreign Trade Policy 2021-26 that provides guidelines for enhancing exports to push economic growth and create jobs.
