eBay Inc. Recognized as a Facilitator of Global Trade by Shanghai Municipal Government

The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce visits the eBay campus

"eBay Inc.'s innovative business model is the future of commerce.  We want to continue to work closely with eBay to develop an eCommerce market and to facilitate trade in Shanghai," commented Vice Director Shiliang Xu of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce during his meeting with eBay Inc.'s Government Relations team.  This week, Vice Director Xu and the delegation he led visited eBay Inc.'s headquarters in San Jose to exchange views on how to continue to strengthen cooperation between the Shanghai municipal government and eBay Inc.

Government Relations' VP & Deputy General Counsel Tod Cohen, Chief of Staff Richard Nash and Director of Greater China LJ Jia highlighted eBay Inc.'s appreciation of the delegation's efforts to create an eCommerce hub in Shanghai as well as our commitment to facilitate innovation and global trade. Mr. Xu stressed the importance of eBay Inc.'s presence in Shanghai and recognized eBay Inc. as a catalyst for global trade and commerce. Both parties agreed to maintain an open dialogue and to continue to explore new opportunities for cooperation in the future.
