This week eBay Inc. was awarded the Public Affairs Council’s 2014 Corporate Grassroots Innovation Award for their work on activating and engaging small business advocates. While eBay Inc. is known as a tech-company, people are the heart and soul of our work. eBay Inc.’s Government Relations team recognizes that success would not be possible without the dedication and support of our eBay Main Street community.
Specifically, the team received the award for our approach to identifying and recruiting small business advocates across the nation to help with the ongoing issue of Internet sales tax. Hundreds of businesses across the nation lent their moving small business stories so that we may better educate Members of Congress on the negative effects of the Marketplace Fairness Act.
