eBay CEO and FCC Chairman Talked Broadband Policy on 9/15

September 13, 2010

John Donahoe, eBay President and CEO, and Julius Genachowski, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) were joined in Washington, DC by online small business owners to discuss the importance of universal, fast, affordable, and open broadband access to small business growth.

Small businesses account for a majority of the more than 1.2 million new jobs generated by the growth of the Internet during the last 10 to 15 years. These businesses and entrepreneurs, including the hundreds of thousands that populate the eBay marketplace, are leveraging the power of broadband to create jobs and offer consumers great variety, and a green shopping alternative.
