We need your help to stop over taxation and the unnecessary disclosure of private information.

Millions of Americans use marketplace platforms to supplement income, make ends meet, and support their families. Congress must act now to increase the sales threshold for used or pre-owned goods or millions of Americans will be negatively affected.

A provision added to section 9674 of the American Rescue Plan Act means that even a single sale over $600 could result in a burdensome 1099-K tax form for the seller. This provision was inserted without any hearing or debate. It’s time for Congress to hear about the importance of online selling and why casual sellers should be protected from over taxation and the unnecessary disclosure of private information.
