eBay Hosts Remembrance Day Event At Headquarters

November 14, 2017

Navy Reservist and eBay Sr. Director of Global Privacy Marcus Morissette leads panel discussion with our SBAN veteran attendees and their spouses.

In Honor of Veteran’s Day and Remembrance Day on November 11th, eBay hosted a veteran-focused event at its San Jose headquarters. We were fortunate that three members of our Small Business Ambassador Network program took time out from their businesses to join us in San Jose - veterans John Davis of Sarge and Red’s, Beau O’Steen of UPakNShip, and Mathew Keister of Seamless Development. They met with many eBay employees, including our Chief Diversity Officer, Damien Hooper-Campbell, and our VP of B2C Buyer Experience, Bob Kupbens.

The highlight of the event was an evening panel discussion where our SBAN members shared how eBay helped them transition from military to civilian life, how skills learned in the military help them run their small businesses, and what eBay can do to continue to help small businesses run by veterans. The panel was extremely educational for the eBay employees in attendance. We would like to thank these three veterans for their service to their country and for making time to attend this event.
