On Monday, The Supreme Court rejected an appeal by Tiffany and Co. in a major trademark case, solidifying the ruling handed down in eBay\'s favor this September. eBay was not held liable for trademark infringements stemming from sales on its website by individuals. eBay Inc. continues to favor an open marketplace and actively pursues possible cases of fraud on its websites.

During the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which took place from 15 to 21 November in 104 countries across the world, eBay\'s Director of SME Businesses Jody Ford reminded the UK business community and policy makers that SMEs still face a number of regulatory barriers to sell cross-border.

Small retailers face a growing political challenge: a tax-policy lobbying battle over the appropriate role of sales tax collection on Internet retail. Many state governments face revenue problems.
