eBay works with the Government in the aid of Charity

July 28, 2010

16th June 2010 - The Great Hall of Parliament House again attracted a host of journalistic, political and corporate chiefs to the spectacular and exciting 2010 Mid Winter Ball. Despite the then Prime Minister Mr. Rudd and daughter turning heads, the star of the night was the money raised for four inspirational charities.

eBay auctioned off the opportunity for members of the public to have dinner with political heads including Opposition Leader the Hon Tony Abbott and now Prime Minister of Australia the Hon. Julia Gillard. Proceeds from the 10th Mid Winter Ball went to Camp Kookaburra, Fighting Chance, Karinya House and Oz Help Foundation. eBay’s charity auction raised a total of $55 600 in support of the charities. eBay has worked with the organizers of the Mid Winter Ball for the last five years as a gold sponsors and auction host.
