EU Rights Owners and Internet Retailers Sign Historic Agreement

Congressman Lungren Tours eBay Inc.’s Headquarters, Meets CEO John Donahoe
<a href="http://lungren.house.gov/index.html">U.S. Congressman Dan Lungren (CA-3)</a> toured eBay Inc.’s California headquarters last week and met with CEO John Donahoe to discuss public policy matters of interest to eBay, PayPal and the greater e-commerce industry. “Fan Protected Paperless Ticketing”…Who’s it Really Protecting?

And while it’s touted as a way to protect fans, this new system will actually limit fans’ rights, including the right to give away or sell your tickets online and on your own terms. eBay on Internet Taxes: “Small Retailers Should Not be Harmed”
<p>Brian Bieron, eBay Senior Director of Federal Affairs, was quoted this week in an interview with [subscription-based] <em>Washington Internet Daily</em>. Commenting on previous iterations of pending Internet sales tax legislation, Bieron shared that eBay was particularly unsatisfied with the "small seller exemption" of last year’s version of the bill.</p>
