The National Conference of State Legislatures Brings “Jobs” Discussion to eBay Inc.

September 19, 2014

Steve YankovitcheBay Inc. Government Relations hosted the National Conference of State Legislatures’ (NCSL) 2014 Jobs Summit this week at the eBay Inc. North Campus in San Jose, CA.  Steve Yankovich, VP of Innovation and Commerce at eBay Inc., introduced the new generation of retail, the future of commerce and what that means for local businesses to over 40 state legislators from around the country.   The delegation also experienced, firsthand, how eBay Inc. technologies provide unique and exciting experiences for local businesses and consumers by touring the Commerce Innovation Showcase.

eBay Inc. is proud to create opportunity for millions of independent sellers and small-business entrepreneurs who are creating jobs through their businesses on eBay.  eBay Inc. platforms enable these Main Street businesses to reach customers around the world, empowering over 149 million buyers globally on our marketplaces, as well as 152 million PayPal account holders, with users in 203 countries.  This is significant since small and medium businesses that use the Internet grow twice as fast as those that don’t.*

Thank you to NCSL and the legislators who spent their valuable time getting to know eBay Inc.  To learn more about NCSL, visit their website at www.ncsl.org or follow them on Twitter at @ncslorg.
