October 20, 2011

StubHub, the world\'s largest ticket marketplace, is deepening its east coast presence with the expansion of its newly remodeled East Granby, CT office. Renovations to the facility will increase StubHub\'s footprint in the state and provide additional job opportunities in the area. The company, which recently hired 30 new full-time employees in East Granby, currently has 25+ openings in customer support, including Customer Support Supervisor roles. StubHub marked the expansion of the facility with a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on October 19.

"Today marks another great day in the history of StubHub," said Chris Tsakalakis, president of StubHub. "This expansion deepens our roots in Connecticut while providing additional job opportunities for local residents. We look forward to adding quality individuals to our team while continuing to provide the best in class customer service to fans."

"As a state representative for East Granby I am proud to have a company like StubHub in our community," said State Representative Elaine O\'Brien (D-Windsor, East Granby, Suffield). "StubHub has a reputation of ensuring that the consumer has a great experience when selling or purchasing event tickets. Their reputation is built on the outstanding employees at the East Granby facility."

"We want StubHub to continue to be a jobs hub in north-central Connecticut," State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield) said. "To have an industry leader like StubHub right here in our backyard is something to be very proud of, and we welcome the company\'s substantial investment in our community."

The East Granby facility has been in operation since 2005, housing StubHub\'s 24/7 call center, which serves as the heart of the company\'s award-winning customer service. Before construction began in March 2011, the 9,000 square foot office housed 137 full-time employees, the office has now expanded to 24,000 square feet and is able to house three times the amount of employees.
