U.S. House of Representatives Passes Bill to Restore Net Neutrality

April 10, 2019

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Save the Internet Act of 2019 (H.R. 1644) by a vote of 232-190.  This legislation would restore net neutrality rules and prevent Internet service providers (ISPs) from blocking content, throttling speeds, or charging more for "fast lanes."

eBay supports net neutrality to maintain a robust and open Internet. In a world without net neutrality, Internet-enabled small businesses would be hit the hardest and small startups, like many of the ones that have reshaped the Internet as we know it, may never get their start. Click here to learn more about eBay’s stance on this important subject.
