We the People, which enables citizens to petition the White House online. To create or sign a petition, a user must have an account on WhiteHouse.gov. If a petition receives at least 150 signatures within 30 days, it becomes searchable on WhiteHouse.gov. The Obama Administration will respond to petitions that gain 25,000 or more signatures within 30 days. We the People launched in September 2011.
