Today in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congressman Daniel Lungren (R-CA) and lead Democratic sponsor Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) introduced a bipartisan resolution “Supporting the Preservation of Internet Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses.” This resolution clearly expresses opposition to states imposing new tax burdens on small businesses on the Internet, including requirements to collect and remit sales taxes for out-of-state online purchases.
