eBay Urges Rethink on EU’s Internet Sales Plan

The European Commission has recently drafted legislation allowing suppliers (brand owners) to require that distributors have a retail storefront before they can sell online.  "A 'brick-and-mortar' provision would hold back e-commerce growth in Europe over the next decade just when it is at a 'teenage stage'," said Tod Cohen, eBay's vice president of government relations.  Read more.
