eBay Government Relations Offers Insights on Getting a Job In Tech

October 16, 2015

Earlier this week, David London, eBay’s Head of Government Relations for the Americas, participated in a panel hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus titled “Cracking the Code: Getting a Job in Tech.” He was joined by leaders from Facebook, Google, Yelp and Clearly Innovative, to discuss the skills and tools required to land and retain work experience in the extremely competitive tech industry.

David recently moved to Washington, D.C. after spending 18 years in Silicon Valley gaining expertise in the tech sector and the policies important to those who use our platform. During the panel, he shared his insight on tools used throughout his career to reach the senior leadership position he is in today. David focused on the importance working well with others – not only on your own team, but also with individuals in other parts of the business and outside the company.

Seeking a job in the technology sector is tough, but with the right skill set, persistence, and connections, anyone can reach their career goals. At eBay, we take great pride in our unique and diverse community of buyers and sellers – we seek to offer opportunity to anyone looking to start a business or buy a product. As we head into a new era for eBay, one of our primary goals is to foster a supportive, diverse, and innovative company culture.
