What’s New: eBay Sellers Make an Impact in Washington
As you know, the eBay Community has earned quite a reputation among lawmakers as a grassroots force to be reckoned with. When you respond to a Main Street call-to-action, lawmakers listen. But did you know that sellers are also meeting face-to-face with their elected officials?
In conjunction with this year’s eCommerce Forum, eBay Government Relations recently hosted 10 Top Sellers in the DC office for a day of legislative briefings followed by meetings on Capitol Hill. These "Lobbyists for a Day" represented the eBay Community in front of key congressional staff and offered a firsthand account of the potential impact of pending legislation on the eBay marketplace.
