As a young boy John was surrounded by the coin business. His father, David Lawrence Feigenbaum always had a passion for coins and when he didn’t get tenure as a professor, he began pursuing coin trading as a full-time profession.

In 1986 John entered the picture and began working with his father. Over the years he turned his father’s old fashioned, mail-order, catalogue coin business into an online success story. “The internet changed everything,” explains John about the dramatic transformation of David Lawrence Rare Coins. “The hope of one day being able to take pictures of coins and promptly post them for sale to buyers finally became reality."

Since his start on eBay in 2003 John has taken his 38 years of experience with coins and turned it into an empire which has earned him Titanium Power Seller status. Despite a bad economic climate sales at David Lawrence Rare Coins have been on the rise and today the business has 12 full-time employees. With John as president and owner, DLRC maintains the same values, mission and pure love of coins that inspired David Lawrence Feigenbaum to start his business nearly 33 years ago.
