Tell Congress to Oppose Internet Sales Tax Legislation in the Lame Duck

In May of 2013, the Senate passed the Marketplace Fairness Act, which would expand out-of-state sales tax enforcement and harm online small businesses. Hundreds of thousands of our users from across America joined us in opposition and called for a better solution. Due to the unpopularity of the legislation, the U.S. House of Representatives followed a more thoughtful approach and attempted to find common ground to protect small businesses online.

However, in order to force the House to vote on the flawed Senate bill, there are plans to bypass the normal legislative process and rush a vote on the Senate-passed Marketplace Fairness Act in the final weeks of Congress.

Let your members of Conress know that you oppose a last-minute Internet sales tax bill being passed in this “lame duck” Congress. Participation is easy-just fill out the form on this page to send a letter to your Senators.
