Tell Your Members of Congress to Oppose Internet Sales Tax Legislation in the Lame Duck

Over 18 months ago the U.S. Senate voted on a deeply unpopular Internet sales tax bill. eBay Inc. was opposed to the Senate's Internet sales tax bill because of the unfair impact on small businesses and entrepreneurs who use the Internet.

The U.S. House of Representatives followed a more thoughtful approach and attempted to find common ground to protect small businesses online. Unfortunately, rather than find consensus, the Senate is now trying to bypass compromise and pass their Internet sales tax bill in the final days of the year. eBay Inc. continues to believe that new sales tax burdens on small businesses using the Internet are the wrong policy for growth, jobs and consumers.

Let your members of Congress know that you oppose a last-minute Internet sales tax bill being passed in this “lame duck” Congress. Participation is easy – just fill out the form on this page to send a letter to your members of Congress.
